Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, a master of “weak architecture”, set a precedent in Hualien, Taiwan, by using containers as building materials. Through the design image of the big tree with spreading branches and leaves, 29 containers that traversed the world’s major ports are recycled and suspended, thereby having their rebirths.

What You See: Clear and Realistic
IMAX is committed to constantly surpassing itself and opening up new horizons in the field of cinematic experience and innovation. As such, IMAX introduced the IMAX laser system – a groundbreaking new generation of laser projection systems with a 12.0 surround sound system. The IMAX laser system is specially designed to let audiences enjoy the top blockbusters, with bright and vivid images, mind-blowing sounds and an oversized screen that creates the best-possible viewing experience in the industry.
What You Hear: Mind-blowing Sound Effects
The IMAX laser system is equipped with a 12.0 surround sound system. The 12.0 surround sound system adds side and overhead channels to the original 5.1 surround sound, so as to deliver a broader dynamic range of sound and more precise sound effects, creating a mindblowing sound experience.
How You Feel: Distinctive
Designed for the IMAX screen from the beginning, the IMAX laser system’s distinctive experience stems from a new generation of 4K laser projection systems with a whole-new optical engine and a complete IMAX know-how. The higher resolution, clearer and brighter image, more intense contrast and more vivid and brilliant colors all converge on the giant IMAX screen.
